Front Differential   Gear Oil change    --  done 2015-March , 38k miles, first time changed Front differential oil.  it took 5 hours to do this work.

====================================================

according to service manual,  2014  2.5i with CVT transmission, Front Differential Gear oil fill is Plug circled in red ( located in passenger side ).

TOOL  8mm HEX,  thread of fill plug M18 x 1.5 mm Pitch

I had to move a plastic cover , covering front differential looks like below.

====================================================

it was easier to access fill plug hole with wrench, if I moved a parts of exhaust pipe.

Both,  Fill Plug and Check plug was very tight to remove.  It would been much difficult or impossible for me to remove Fill Plug without removing a part of exhaust pipe.

because I could not able to get good attachment of wrench to Fill Plug with Exhaust Pipe in the way.

I had to use, extension pipe , 2 feet - 3/4 inch ID  gas pipe attach to 1/2 inch ratchet driver to loosen it.  I think I came close to stripping the Check Plug, and Fill Plug.  I used PB Blaster before remove Check Plug and Fill Plug. I untightened Checker and Fill plug first, before drain oil, so I don't get into situation oil is drained, but not way to fill it.

I used anti seize lubricant , when I put back Drain, Fill, Check plugs.

I am using floor jack to hold up rest of the rear exhaust pipes.
