rear differential gear oil change -- done 2015-March , 38k miles, first time changed rear differential oil.

lower plug is Left ( with magnet ), upper plug is right ( no magnet ) , they are same size M18-1.5 ?
Upper and Lower plug are tight, I used PB blaster several hours before removing these 2 plugs.

new valvoline 75w90 synthetic gear oil looks like

old differential gear oil looks like with 40k miles out of which 12k are high way mile.

Lower drain plug with Magnet looks like when I remove the plug. it has metal power attach to it.

I used copper gasket which I bought it at pepboy auto store M18 gasket to replace black metal gasket originally was in it.
LEFT --copper gasket from Pepboy store, RIGHT -- Original Subaru Gasket on Plugs.
