[ this is just for reference ONLY.  showing what I have done to my Forester.  NOT intended for instruction on how to repair it or maintaining it.  I believe it is missing many details and steps to be used as Instruction.]

( this web server may not be here all the time, so you might want to make copy , while you still can ).

=================================================================================================

first I have drained CVT fluid , while car was on ramp front wheel raised 6 inch , but rear wheel on ground.

it drained about 4.5 qts from drain plug of CVT

I installed Fumoto Valve M18 x 1.5mm pitch ( F104N ) with nipple.  which connect to 3/8 inch I.D., 1/2 inch O.D. tube.

I put same amount as drained, new CVT fluid 4.5 qts into CVT through fumoto valve nipple using 12V electric pump. 12V electric pump is intended for sucking oil from dip stick hole. which I bought at Amazon for $20

12V electric pump used , I connected to my radio control car's 7.2V battery stead of 12V.  with 12V it run very quick , with 7.2V battery, the pump run slow enough for this purpose.

I placed 10mm ID, 3/8 inch ID rubber cap, so dirt do not get into valve nipple opening.

I noticed CVT fill plug of 2019 Forester , the thread part is longer compare to 2014 model Forester, 2019 thread part is 15mm, 2014 it was 10mm
